An Interns “PR” Perspective.

An Interns “PR” Perspective.

Hello, my name is Lauren and I am very happy to be the newest member of the team here at Leapfrog PR!

As a third year Public Relations student, I have been lucky enough t0 secure a twelve-month placement working here at a leading Foodservice and Hospitality PR company. Officially I only started here two weeks ago, but fortunately I was given the opportunity in February to start part-time, which gave me a fantastic foot-up in getting my head around how the company works together as a team and with clients.

I feel that four months experience working at Leapfrog has already enabled  me to be a part of some extremely exciting visits, such as accompanying a client up to Villa Park to meet some aspiring hospitality students. I also had the chance to spend the evening at the local Women In Business Awards at Cheltenham Racecourse, where it was an honour to meet some truly inspiring people.

Considering it is only a fortnight that I have been working here full-time, I am already being given responsibilities that are both testing and rewarding in equal measure. I can also not ignore the perks of the job, namely the free ice cream samples from the lovely Ben at Winstones Ice Cream, and cupcakes made by Angharad to celebrate my first week!

I am thoroughly enjoying my time here so far, and am looking forward to the challenges that are in store for the year ahead. I will no doubt be blogging my different experiences here on the Leapfrog website, to hopefully give an insight into my “PR perspective”.
