FPA Notches up Century
The Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA), the trade body that represents the interests of foodservice packaging manufacturers and distributors, has notched up its 100th member, through adding sixteen new members in the past month.
The FPA works to raise the profile of the industry and to promote excellence in business practice amongst members. It promotes information exchange between all sectors of the industry from manufacturer to distributor to operator. The FPA also encourages industry best practice through a series of awards and seminars.
Greg Fitchett, Chairman of the FPA says: “This is a landmark for our organisation and demonstrates the relevance the FPA has to businesses in our sector. Through increasing our membership we will strengthen our role as the mouthpiece of the industry, presenting our collective views and championing issues that are important to all of us.”
The benefits of membership of the FPA include access to the latest environment information and developments from INCPEN (the Industry Council for Packaging and the Environment), topic specific seminars such as the recent environment seminar, access to the annual benchmark of customer service performance for distributors and the opportunity to attend networking events such as the FPA Awards and Annual Dinner and the annual House of Commons Lunch.
