New Chief Executive for Lilian Faithfull Homes
Local man Steve Hughes has been appointed Chief Executive of Lilian Faithfull Homes, the leading charity provider of care for the elderly in Cheltenham.
Steve has spent all his working life in Gloucestershire and joined Lilian Faithfull from Pegasus Retirement Homes where he was Business Services Director. He brings a wealth of expertise gained in professional and voluntary capacities. Steve worked in IT and business consultancy prior to joining Pegasus and previously served on the IOD main Board as non-executive director. He has also served as School Governor and with his local Church, Trinity, in Cheltenham.
Steve is a passionate champion of high quality, respectful and fulfilling care for the elderly. He is bringing his expertise to bear across all aspects of the running of Lilian Faithfull Homes and looking forward to the challenges ahead. Says Steve: “I’m passionate about care for the elderly. We need to work with the whole of society to give older people the respect they deserve and help everyone understand that life in care can still help people realise their full potential, what ever their age. Doing it with dignity is what makes the real difference.”
Steve is married with three daughters and lives in Cheltenham.
