The Executive Committee of the Foodservice Packaging Association has ratified the election by the members of Neil Whittall to the position of Chairman of the Association (FPA). Neil Whittall is Commercial and Contracts Director at Huhtamaki (UK) Limited. He succeeds outgoing Chairman Greg Fitchett of DayMark UK, who has successfully led the organisation for the past three years.  Greg Fitchett remains as a member of the Executive Committee.

The two positions of Joint Vice Chairman were also ratified by the FPA Members Executive Committee, with Cara Cottam, of WRAP Film Systems continuing in her role as Vice-Chairman, and Mark Byrne, of Anchor Packaging elected to the new role of Joint Vice Chairman.

On appointment Neil Whittall said: “I’m delighted to be taking up the position of Chairman of the FPA having been actively involved with the organisation for a number of years. I am particularly heartened by the recent growth in membership and increased activity that the organisation is planning.  This signifies that the FPA is a thriving, relevant association offering real value to its members and with the hard work of the committee and members we can continue to support and promote the interests of our industry at the highest levels. I would like to thank outgoing Chairman Greg Fitchett for his tireless work over the past three years and for the excellent job he has done in moving our association forward.”

Retiring Chairman Greg Fitchett said: “I have every confidence that Neil will be an excellent Chairman and ensure that the FPA continues to go from strength to strength. He has the full support of our membership of more than 100 leading packaging manufactures and distributors and will preside over the FPA’s active calendar of events.”
