Tewkesbury Park

Objectives

After coming under new ownership, Gloucestershire based hotel and golf complex, Tewkesbury Park needed to improve the reputation of the hotel both nationally and locally in order to increase room bookings and encourage the local population to use the hotel’s restaurant and the leisure facilities.

Strategy

Drip feed the local media with news stories on the progress of the refurbishment project and create a buzz around the new facilities. Engage with the local community to drive awareness of what’s on offer.

Tactics

In addition to driving the media campaign, Leapfrog took over the management of Tewkesbury Park’s Facebook and Twitter pages with a focus on increasing followers, promoting the hotel and engaging with the local community. Once the refurbishment was well underway, we shifted attention to the trade press and have now successfully established strong partnerships with the relevant hotel and catering titles.

Results

  • 11 pieces of coverage in the key local titles within the first 6 weeks
  • Over 400 new Likes on Facebook
  • Strong relationships established with local and trade press
  • As a result of a successful year Leapfrog have been selected to deliver Tewkesbury Park’s 2016 campaign
