FPA Environment Seminar – Lord Taylor of Holbeach
FPA Environment Seminar – Lord Taylor of Holbeach
Publish date 16/01/2012 Angharad
Last week we helped our client the Foodservice Packaging Association with its Annual Environment Seminar at the Alverston Manor Hotel in Stratford. This year we were delighted to have Parliamentary Under Secretary Lord Taylor of Holbeach address members. Lord Taylor gave an encouraging speech about the positive impact packaging has on reducing food waste and the need for the government and FPA to work together to achieve new recycling targets over the next few years along with the need for a unified strategy when it comes to recycling provision in the UK.
As well as Lord Taylor attending members and their guests heard from an impressive line-up of speakers from the industry – Dr John Williams, Head of Materials for Energy and Industry at NNFCC, the UK’s National Centre for Biorenewable Energy, Fuels and Materials, Dr Richard Swannell, Director of Design and Waste Prevention at WRAP and Mr Dick Searle, Chief Executive of the Packaging Association. If you would like to, you can now download speakers’ slides from the FPA website.
